Projected scoring maps the resulting WFI band to the average combined points of real outdoor NFL games in that band since 1999 (see the methodology). It's an expectation across many games, not a prediction for any single one — scheme, injuries, and matchup dominate. Domes and closed roofs correctly crush the score toward zero.
